USA Staffing is seeking a plant operator for the Nevada, IA area.

The plant operator will be supporting the startup operations of a pilot plant. Routine duties include sampling and transferring raw materials and finished products. The plant operator will be required to monitor the process and make changes in the plant in order to make on specific finished product. The plant operator will receive direction from the Process Operations Leader.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful applicant will meet the following minimum qualifications:
-Must have proven experience in at least one of the following fields: electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pipefitting, industrial construction and maintenance
-Able to read, understand, and follow safety procedures, and to work safely in a chemical plant environment
-Education: High School diploma. College level courses, especially in Chemistry and math are desirable
-Able to climb ladders and work on elevated structures
-Able to operate valves and move 55 gallon drums
-Able to read, understand, and follow operating instructions for a small chemical plant
-Applicant must successfully pass a drug test and background check prior to employment
-Applicant must be able to work 12 hr rotating shifts; including overtime, nights, weekends and Holidays

WORK CONDITIONS:

-This position is rotating from days to nights 12 hour shifts; currently working 5 days a week due to change with little notice
-The work is mainly inside of a building, with a small amount of outside activity
-The job duration is 9-12 months, which may be extended
-The job will also involve sampling the process and running analytical lab tests
